Audiometry Specialist - Dallah Namar

Within the limits of his/her written clinical privileges, to manage patients for whom he/she is responsible to the highest attainable standard of care within the resources of Dallah Hospital.Provides direct clinical diagnostic services to patients, to include standard hearing evaluations, electrophysiologic testing, otoacoustic emission testing, and electronystagmography testing. Provides auditory rehabilitation services, to include hearing aid and assistive listening device evaluations and dispensing; initiates appropriate follow-up and referral to other health care and/or educational professionals. Diagnose hearing disabilities.Select and administer tests to evaluate hearing or related disabilities.Provides in-services and serves as a liaison to other healthcare providers and related professionals. Administering auditory tests for babies, children and adults.Taking earmold impressions by completing visual screening of ear canal following established guidelines, inserting the impression materials, checking for accuracy and processing.Referring patients to their audiologist when appropriate.Completing and interpreting measurements of ambient noise in test environments and completing output verification of equipment through use of a sound level meter, referring problems to Head of Department. Interpreting and reporting on test results Provides administrative support and assistance in the areas of equipment maintenance and supply; monitors and maintains departmental data and records, as appropriate. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions. Performs any other duties within range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by Head of Department. Essential: Five (5) years experience and training in recognized audiology/audiometry or related clinical settings.Essential: Bachelor or certification or equivalent in Audiometry.
