Inventory controller

Job PurposeManage and control inventory levels, accuracy, and processes to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing costs and losses. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouses/locations. • Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies. • Analyze inventory levels and recommend reorder points, safety stock, and min/max levels. • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure stock availability. • Track slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory; recommend disposal or markdown actions. • Prepare inventory reports (stock levels, turnover, aging, variance analysis). • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records. • Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures. • Support month-end and year-end inventory closing and audits. • Implement and maintain inventory management systems (ERP/WMS). • Monitor damaged, expired, or returned goods and process accordingly. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. • 2–4 years of experience in inventory/warehouse control. • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Excel. • Strong analytical and organizational skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy.
