Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist (Women's First Team) - Be Part of a Legacy Bigger Than the Game

Overview:
As the Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will lead the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured players, delivering world-class physiotherapy services that support player health, performance, and long-term development for the Women’s First Team. You will combine clinic-based physiotherapy with on-pitch rehabilitation and return-to-play delivery, ensuring players progress safely and effectively back into full training and competition.
Key Responsibilities:
Injury Management and Rehabilitation
• Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for injured players
• Design and implement individualised rehabilitation programmes aligned with long-term athlete development principles
• Progress players through structured return-to-play pathways
• Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and injury documentation
• Monitor rehabilitation progress and adapt programmes to optimise outcomes
On-Pitch Rehabilitation
• Plan and deliver progressive pitch-based rehabilitation sessions
• Integrate physical, technical, and football-specific components into rehabilitation programmes
• Transition players effectively from rehabilitation into full team training
• Work closely with performance staff to ensure readiness for return to competition
Training and Squad Support
• Support team training sessions where required
• Assist with injury prevention strategies within the training environment
• Collaborate with coaches and performance staff to modify training loads for returning players
• Support player availability throughout the season
Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, Coaching, and Medical staff
• Provide clear and consistent updates on player status, availability, and rehabilitation progress
• Contribute to multidisciplinary decision-making regarding return-to-play and performance management
Injury Prevention and Monitoring
• Support the design and delivery of injury prevention programmes
• Contribute to screening and monitoring processes to reduce injury risk
• Assist in developing a robust and available squad through proactive athlete management
Department Development and Continuous Improvement
• Support the development and refinement of rehabilitation systems and processes
• Contribute to a best-practice medical and performance culture
• Identify practical solutions and improvements within a high-performance environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Desirable:
• MSc in Sports Physiotherapy or a related discipline
• Experience working in academy or elite football environments
• Knowledge of female athlete health considerations
• Experience working within multidisciplinary performance teams
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
• BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
• Registered and licensed physiotherapist
• Experience in elite or sub-elite football environments
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and return-to-play frameworks
• Experience delivering on-pitch rehabilitation programmes
• Knowledge of long-term athlete development principles
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary working skills
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making ability
• High attention to detail and player-centred approach
• Strong organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
• Experience working with GPS and athlete load monitoring systems
• Experience supporting youth or developing athletes
• Understanding of performance monitoring and sports science practices
• Experience working within international or multicultural sporting environments
