PATIENT ACCOUNTS OFFICER

Ensures that patient accounts are opened for every inpatient receiving care at Dallah Hospital, and maintained in an orderly and timely manner.Opens an account file for every inpatient, checks the payment status - private or credit, under registered client companies or sponsors.If the patient is private, ensures that a deposit is received and recorded. If the patient is credit, ensures that a referral letter was received from admissions and recorded.Collects the charges daily from the wards for each patient for patient services in that particular admission.Checks all charges and enters new charges that are not yet entered into the system, including O.R charges.Follows up the expired approvals if it needs extension before the expiry date is due.Prepares deposit request for those who are in need of additional deposit for cash patient and for credit patient which was disapproved upon admission.Attends to the patients? queries regarding some clarification about their bills.Checks and edits each and every patient account file if all charges are properly entered.Fully aware and actively implement the departmental policies and procedures, local and international standards or requirements related to the departmentActively involves in indicator development, data collection for the department and to measure the performance of the function, process, and outcome. Whenever required, conducts analysis and interpretation of data/information collectedParticipate in hospital Safety Management & Risk Management Programs. Actively reports incidents in the system and whenever needed, participates in incident review, and root cause analysis.Performs any other duties within the range of his/her competence, as directed by the Revenue Cycle Director. Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, to include cash management.Bachelor?s Degree in Commerce / Finance, or any related course.
